The Galactic Overlord Story

Once, Little Bear was swinging in the secret garden. He dropped his scissors and the Headless Horseman got them. Using George Bush's left arm, he cut the swing. When Little Bear fell, he got in a genetic mixup with the Headless Horseman. Little Bear had no head and George Bush's Left Arm and the Headless Horseman had Little Bear's head and furry ears.

Then, a Galactic Overlord came down and took them to a pizza store on Mars. "Why did you take us here?" they asked. "Because I want to order pizza", he said. "But there is no pizza here", they said. "That's because the pizza is on Pluto." Then, he called the Pizza Guy. "I want to order an extra large cheese pizza. Yes, yes, yes, I want the Hello Kitty doll. OK, bye!"

Then, the Pizza Guy came. He was a hobo. The Galactic Overlord looked at his food. "I wanted a cheese pizza, not an anchovy pizza!" he shouted. Then he looked at his toy. "I wanted the Hello Kitty doll, not the Star Wars collectible." The the Galactic Overlord took them back to Earth.

Ancient Egypt

You walk through the desert, thirsty and tired. The yellow sand blows in your eyes, but you keep going. Then you come upon an oasis and drink the pure, cold water. You are too tired to look around so you spend the night in the shade of a palm tree. When you wake up in the morning, you realize where you are. You see small villages up ahead. You walk through the town, and buy a gold necklace, a few strings of beads, and some nice fruit. As you continue walking, small wooden houses become large, beautiful houses, the structures shining in the sun. In front of a church, you see people praising the Sun God, Re (Rah). You start to see large sculptures of kings and Pharoahs. In front of you, you see the large, grand palace of the pharoah. You think, "this is the best trip ever!"

Florida Beaches

You walk o the beach, slowly watching the gulls fly. You walk into the water and pick up a shell. You take it into the water and pick up a starfish. Then you see a beautiful shell. You take it with you. Off in the distance, you see sailboats and gray dolphins leaping happily among the waves. Silver winds blow softly, lifting kites high in the air. The sun sets in the sky, creating bright colors like a beautiful painting. You sit by the ocean, watching the sunset while admiring shells and other treasures washed up by the sea. The waves roll slowly and softly. They are a dark blue like the evening sky. The sun is almost gone and the stars shine brightly.

A dogs life letter

By Me!

Dear Julie,
I sat alone,
Without a home,
Then you came to me,
I filled with glee.
I came with you,
With a collar of blue.
I loved you,
and as I grew,
We've had fun,
playing in the sun,
But now i'm gone,
It's seemed so long,
up here I feel so sad,
Yet i'm So glad.
That you are now as happy as ever,
so be miserable, NEVER!

I wrote this poem and it won 1st prize in a poetry contest!

Dinosaurs

By Me!

Dinosaurs, dinosaurs big ones and small,
I really like dinosaurs I love them all!
Triceratops, raptors, they all rule,
Boy, I wish I could bring one to school.
It would be a brontosaurus, on four legs,
I'll try feeding it hard boiled eggs.
At recess in the sun,
by my class it will run.
It would make the ground shake,
Giant footprints it would make.
How I wish I could bring that to school,
Oh, that would be so cool!
But the dinosaurs are gone, and they are gone for good,
But I still want to see them, I'd love it if I could!

Help the world

We should be good people and help. I mean help. Not like doing the dishes, or taking out the trash. I mean help. Help keep the ozone layer, help keep endangered species on this planet. I mean help. I mean, I surprised humans still exist. There are only 6 things that keep us going. Our hearts, our brains, our imaginations, our courage, our spirit, and determination. If we use those 6 things, we could do great things for the future. The people who do those things we succeed in almost any thing. The ones who don’t will never become great. Please help all creatures, help the world. -butterfly

T'was The Night Before Christmas

by Clement Clark Moore
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads;
And mamma in her ’kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a pedler just opening his pack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle,
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."

I put this up for the holiday season.
