Magic Age

Magic. In our day, it's used for entertainment. Most don't believe in it. But some, about 20% of the Earth's people, still believe in magic. No one knows for sure about magic being real, but here is what I think is real. Let me take you back a long time ago, before the dinosaurs. Before the fish. Before the time when ten foot bugs ruled the world. Way, way, back. To the time of mythical creatures. Things like dragons, fairies, mermaids, elves, and unicorns. The magic age.

All the creatures lived a happy life until a big problem happened. Back then, there were ten moons for the Earth. And when nine crashed, bad things began to happen. Volcanoes erupted so often that every two seconds, one hundred animals died. Earthquakes came constantly. Worse of all, the ocean levels rose to be seven trillion feet deep! Most drowned, but some, about three to five hundred, survived. Unicorns hid in secret caves. Dragons turned back into eggs and hid among the rocks. Faires and pegasuses flew to the clouds. Mermaids hid in the depths of the Pacific Ocean. They all fled. And in another two thousand years, they will return and once again, the days of magic will return.
